Hi guys,

I am looking to get a new set of tires for my 2000 TL. I would like to get the biggest, most aggresive tires possible on the factory wheels without rubbing etc. I know most people go with the 225/55/16's, but I was wondering if a 50 series would fit.

Also, if anyone knows of a reputable tire retailer in the St. Petersburg Fla. area, please let me know - I was thinking of using Kauffman Tire. I usually order from Tirerack, but I moved to a condo and the logistics of mail ordering them and getting them to a shop would be a nightmare for me.

225/50/16 is SMALLER than 225/55/16. I'm currently running Yoko AVS ES100 225/55/16 and they are a great improvement over stock. $85 each from Tirerack. Good Luck.

 

just got those yokos in 225/40/18 and i love them. great deal for the price

 

the first # is the tire width. the 2nd # is an aspect ratio (sidewall height to tire width)
