Best way to lower my ride??

I have an 08 TL, and i was wondering whats the best way to lower it with out killing too much comfort or looking silly? i keep looking at the tein springs but i've heard that the type a-spec suspension is the way to go, but its like 3 times more expensive. idk if this question has been asked before but im still new to this site.

You forget that the aspec is completed with new struts. I believe it is the best choice if you still want the ride to be comfortable. How many miles do you have right now? I plan to do the aspec suspension maybe next summer.

I'm not going to get into too much detail because I've written way too much on this subject already. Aspec is a great compromise betwen handling and comfort. Handling balance is better than most aftermarket springs/coilovers. Performance is great.

In my opinion for best handling and comfort you don't want to do much more than 1" with springs. The TL already has limited suspension travel when stock and you're putting it that much closer to the bumpstops with lowering springs. In order to keep from hitting the bumpstops, lowering springs must be stiff. If they aren't stiff enough and you hit the bumpstops, not only does the ride get harsh but the handling is terrible even though it feels stiff.

Not all coilovers but some of the better coilovers retain full suspension travel while lowering the car. You get a lower ride and you can retain a soft ride without worrying about hitting the bumpstops.

H&r sport springs with tokico shocks is the best cheap setup in my opinion...if you only upgrade springs, you will eventually have to replace shocks also....

Best way is Coilovers!period

I had Tokico with S Techs on my previous TL and...well after a while, I didn't like it. They used to loosen up over time and would need to be re-tightened to maintain stiffness.

If you do get a springs/struts combo, I highly suggest not getting the fully adjustable ones, just get normal ones.

I'm not sure if I want to lower my new TL...but if I do, I might just get springs (I know, not the epitome of lowering...but I want a modest drop and save money), and leave the OEM struts for now, because I don't think they get worn out that much more than usual driving, especially on highways. Of course, that's just my opinion.

Edit: Also, my rear struts began squeaking after 30k miles or so.

3/8

I have a 05 TL with H&R sport springs. My right fronts sits 3/8" higher then the left. I installed them. Thought it might "settle". It's been months. Had 2 shops look at it. They said everything was installed right etc. Any ideas how to fix it???
love the way the rest of the car sits. Could I put one race spring on it? It's my first Acura product.

-I knew I should have bought cos

oh wow thanks guys, that's some good advise. sounds like the Type A is the way to go, because its still acura, I don't want to load my car with too many aftermarket parts.

I liked the Neuspeed/Koni SP3 adjustable shocks I had on my 05 TL. The ride stiffness and height is adjustable. I used these shocks with H&R sport springs.

Check them out here: http://www.heeltoeauto.com/neuspeed-...322lsp3.1.html
