Best lowering springs?

Hey all, i have a lot of knowledge in Subaru's, this being said im new to the honda/acura world..besides my old EP3 which i lowered on Nuespeed race springs. I just wanted a few opinions on the best lowering springs for our cars. I have a 04' TL 100% stock and want to lower it some, not enough to get coils but i was curious to what was the best spring to put on the car with the best looking drop. Thanks for your opinions

because "best" is subjective.

what are your thoughts?
are you into more performance?
or just looks?

if you're performance orientated, I'd look into some springs that have a larger spring rate in the rear!!!

if you're just doing it for looks;
why not just head to www.store.excelerateperformance.com
or
www.heeltoeauto.com
and pick a spring that has the correct drop for you. they range from 1inch to 2inch drops
because beside the drop; they're all the same.

so, there are NO BEST.
also depends on your budget.
and your goals for the car.

so, please! Dont mod because some one suggested "the best"
Research your options; and pick the spring that best suits YOU!

remember; a smart consumer is an informed consumer.

Tein S-Techs and H&R Sports are some popular picks for TL's.

I've had TEIN S-Tech springs for 3 years with no issues. After having them for so long I really want height adjustability, therefore I'm switching to coilovers soon.

Except for you should buy it at Excelerate

For a good bang for the buck spring I'd recommend TEIN S-Tech springs.

I assume the stock shocks will be ok with the Tein s springs being that its a subtle drop? Just looking for a little drop for my car.

Yep, the stock shocks will be fine. CLtotheTL32 has been running that setup for 3 years with no issues.

^depends on the stock shocks and if they were gently used or not.

I wouldnt add aftermarket springs to stock shocks that were 100k + miles on them

I was gonna do h&r springs on stock shocks, but decided to go all out and get coilovers instead. Tein SAs are the ones im gonna get this spring.

Tein s-tech and HR sports are by far the most popular springs. However if you have a '04 you should seriously consider new shocks at the same time as yours will be worn and likely give out quickly with springs. By then you're looking at $800ish and can look at the lower end non-adjustable coil overs anyways. HR sport + koni yellow are great, but lots of people here like the low end Teins too.

Just don't do what I did. Install springs only to find out on of the shocks is shot already and have to redo the whole install a week or two later when you get the shocks in.

Yeah that sucks! I have an 08 with 40k miles, so I think I'll be ok with the stock setup. I did the whole coilover/shock setup on my honda years ago, which was nice, but lead me to keep modifying that car which I am not trying to do with this car. Just doing basic mods, rims, lower and maybe an exhaust.

ive had eibach they were really good. i ended up switching them out for aspec at the end because i put the springs on some garbage struts that blew after 10000km. the aspecs costed me around 600 for the complete set. either way your gonna 300 for lowering springs. (remember im from canada)
