Best low pro tire for snow?
Looking at getting new rims and was wondering what tires to go with. I live in Northern IN and we get an above avg amount of lake effect snow, though it usually gets cleared pretty quick. However, looking for experiences with all-season lowpro (18" and 19") tires. I've been looking at the new Hankook Ventus V4 H105, the Toyo Proxes 4 and the General Exclaim UHP just from what I've found on 1010tires.com.
Does anyone have any real experiences in the snow with these or any other tires they'd swear by? I've had snow tires and don't plan on spending the extra dough for them, so don't bother telling me I should just get snow tires. I need the best all season I can get my hands on. thanks guys!

I really love my hankook's they made my last car an animal in the snow, the tread pattern is also excellent, looks like an off road tire. IMO, the hankook's are the best buy.

Did you use those hankook tires in the picture on your TL? Those are winter tires, no wonder they were an animal! Or, were you referring to the Ventus V4 that I mentioned in my post?

I have 245/35R19 dunlop direzza's all seasons on mine .. gonna switch back to the stock rims for the winter but those tires are very inexpensive about 170 a tire if u look good enough on-line.. I think they could handle the snow no problem but dont wanna wreck the rims on pot holes here in new england.. Also the wear of the tire is very good as well
