Bent 19" ronjon

I just bent my rim on running a big pothole in nyc . i knew it was coming someday but what the hell. i guess thats what you gotta sacrifice to look good

anyhow i live in jersey north bergen i was just wondering if any of you guys know what the best place is to repair it. its just bent slightly from the inside. doesnt look that bad.

i just got my foose speedster's fixed today. all 4 needed repair. charged me 800 for all 4.

200 $ sounds a lot for a slight imperfection. maybe im better of getting a new one all the way. anywhere cheaper ??

It's $180 around here in Atlanta, so $200 isn't that far off.

when there is a slight bend, chances are that the wheel is no longer truly round, but slightly oval, which is what casues the vibrations. So they straighten out the wheel wheel. And on top of that, even tho you can't see it, there may be a stress fracture crack within the wheel's bend, so repairing it cosmetically can still be prone to easier further damage.

Given what Ron said, save yourself the trouble and buy a new one. The fact that the integrity of the wheel has already been compromised, you run a greater risk of the rim bending or cracking again in the future which will mean even more $$$
