The wheels that I like are the BBS RX. They are available in 17x7.5 and 18x8. The offset for 17 is 45 and for 18 is 40.

I have read many posts in this forum that suggest that the proper offset for 18x8 should be about 50 or higher.

The BBS distributor in Orlando tells me that both of the above fit the TL; that he has sold some 18s for CLs to some Acura dealers in Georgia. He is willing to guarantee that the 18s will fit.

What do you guys think? Does anyone have the BBS RX? Any pictures?

i know what you are trying to say, and he does too (in a way). sure they fit...bolt pattern is right, and size/offset *fits*. but what you really mean to ask is "with these wheels, will i rub if i was lowered this much and with so many people and full of luggage!" this is the question you should be asking. 8" wide rims with a 40 offset will stick out of the fender plane i believe...if not the wire, then the tire surely if you went with either 225s or 235s. as for the cl's, it might be similar to the accords...i heard the coupes have a slightly bigger wheel wells than the sedans so a slgihtly lower offset and/or higher width will not stick out.

i believe tire rack people are just the same.."they fit."

18x8 +50 will not fit if you are lowered on Comptech springs or lower.

I am running 18x8 +50 and I am just barely under the front lip.

Don't do it in 18...you won't be happy.
