Bad day for my Acura :-(
This morning I mananged to scrape my rim on the curb being too careful to avoid the car next to me from dinging my car when he opened his door. The damage was not that bad, but noticable from about 10 feet. After debating whether or not I should get it fixed, I decided to go ahead an bite the bullet it get it repaired. I called AWR and they qouted me from $100 - $125 for the one wheel over the phone, they referred me to a local guy he said it would probally be about $80.
So while im driving there to get the front wheel replaced, I manged to hit the curb AGAIN, this time on my rear wheel. I was hoping that it just hit the tire but when I got there my rear wheel had a scrape to match the one in the front. I was thinking now my price would be $160 to do both of them.
The guy was cool though, he told me he could do both wheels for $100, and he did one hell of a job. I can't even tell they were damaged to begin with. He also said there is a lifetime warranty and that he usually charges $100 PER wheel, so I think I got off pretty good considering he did both of them for $100.
I don't know what my problem was today, out of the 12 years I was driving I have only hit a curb twice and the last time (before today) was nearly 3 years ago, now I mess around it do it twice in one day?!. What is going on?? Now if only I can get it home without causing MORE damage. wish me luck!!!

Alloy Wheel Repair Call the 1.800 number and they will give you the number to someone local. The person that did my rims was only 3 miles from my job at a BMW dealer. So I just drove up there on my lunch break. He did an excellent job, I can't even tell there was ever any damage.
BTW It will probably be cheaper if you go out to them instead of them coming out to you, at least that was the case with me.
