What kinda Snow tires do you recommend? one of my buddies have an X5 4.4i with the sposrts package (19" wheels/tires) and is looking for a set of Snow tires...what do you recommend?

Here's the decision tree:
1. Cottage country or just city/highway?
For cottage country I recommend a real snow tire like:
Nokian Hakka 1/Q
Yokohama Guardex
For city/highway only your main culprit is cold weather and the occassional slush so I recommend :
Nokian NRW
Michelin Pilot Alpin
these will be quieter and have stiffer sidewalls for better dry handling
Best source for Nokians is Steelcase 905 479 8884. Ask for Dave and tell them Hemant sent you "Hay-Ment". They are the Cdn distributer for Nokians so they have the best prices. They give pretty good advice as well so see what they say.
The X5 may have limited choices due to the tire size.
