ASPEC Suspension & Progress RSB

Today I had the MT ASPEC Suspension and Progress 24mm Rear Sway Bar installed on my AT 2008 TL Type S. My wife called my cell phone several times begging me to come home and have dinner with the family!
I am shocked at how much better it handles! Last week I replaced my OEM tires with the Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS Pole Position tires. The entire combination is sick, just sick! I left several dollars of rubber on the on ramps to the interstate tonight. My goodness, everyone needs this suspension upgrade. Thanks for letting me share my fun!

For those that disagree with me -

i feel ya on the aspec...its a great upgrade for the TL without making it looked modded. i loved it after i installed just the suspension. added the RSB (hint hint GP16), and WOW!! crazy fun. if i had summer stickies...then it would get dangerous. lol.

I also have aspec suspension and progress rsb. It handles much better then when I first bought my car. Recently bought pilot super sports for my aspec wheels and the grip is amazing. I take some ramps, and turns at speeds that I could never do before. Ive been dying for a track day but I don't know if I can afford going through a $1200 set of tires that fast.

Question, would you be looking to sell the Type S Suspension? Because I have an 04 and from what I gathered it should fit and I'm due for shocks and springs.

My family are huge fans of Michelins so we run them on all of our cars. Plus our tire supplier doesn't carry Nittos.

Let me know how the tire life on NT05s are.

I heard they're better suited for the track whereas Invos are better for daily (tread life wise).

FML I defnitely know I'll have to spend more money than $600 sicne mine are 18" wheels.

Well another reason I went splurged for the PSS's is their 30k mile warranty. If I don't make it, they prorate the next set for me. Im sure they void that if I ran them on the track.

Suspension and a RSB make for exciting driving. I love mine too, except I did H&R Sports Springs, but with the same results.

How is the install for the Progress RSB? Is there any drilling necessary?

Does anyone have a link to a DIY.

This was my first suspension combo and it was indeed great. I too have added Bridgestone tires which i ffind to be pretty stiff which is also great for aggressive cornering. I would love to get the Michelin's lilsid got but its so hard to cough up the $1200 when I put 300 miles plus on my car every week.

Dude, I dont daily.
I do beat on my car tho!

my car turned 50k on Dec. 3. I only put 10k on in a year.
with that being said, when i look at the tires, they look freaking bald!!!!!!! lol

butt, i still have major grip.
i forgot to record my mileage when I put the tires on, but i do have the date of install. I can do a little home work and put together a little time line of the tires.

oh, and tire pressure is super important with these tires.
Houston is kinda weird and we're having 80 degree December days, then the next it will drop down to the upper 40's.

I noticed I have to be pro-active and keep up with the air pressure.

^you have no idea what the fuck you are talking about.
it clearly shows.

the tops hats wont decrease handling, you noob.
I added type-s bushings to the stock '06 tophats, you boob.
it does nothing to handling, you have moobs.

you lost all credibility, when you made that thread. How are you going to give advice about cars, if you dont even know what kind of car you were supposedly trying to race.

instead of bashing me, you should hit the books and research.
you need lots of help.

it makes the suspenson feel sloppy. still tired from drilling? anyone watch justnspace video?? 600 hp tl. FWD lol lol lol i tired this setup and it feels sloppy and i couldnt takecorners at 100mph like i use to. lol dyno a base tl with no cats. lol people dyno turbos and chargers this guy dyno fart pipes.. 600 horses......

let me investigate. justnspace have this setup if i can remember. a 06 tl shock mount, 07 tls shock mount bushing, (desperatley drilled). Aspec Springs, Koni shocks. a Aftermarket RSB, and Nitto's NTO5 (Super Summer Tires in his words".
badselection of the combonation you have there if you think your car can handle better than mine.
why dont you do this..my recommendations are...

acura's ASPEC SPORT SUSPENSION. it is tracked tuned and fully assembled. Michenlin Pilot Super Sport Tires. (it is Y rated not W like nitto's), it has higher load index, nitto's are 91load index. Car requires atleast 93.

<--im just helping you not competing against you. dont be mad

Dav, I have the same exact setup as you...minus the shocks. which are valved more aggressively than your aspec shocks.

you can call me if you would like big boy, we can get it on!!!

I find it highlarious that you started a thread about the aspec suspension. I recall that you were crying because you didnt feel any difference....well, big boy....at the time, you didnt even install the rears. you're a joke.

Nearly 2 months later and everyday is a trip! My car handles like its on rails and I have pushed it fairly hard! I hit exit ramps at speeds I never imagined possible, and it sticks. Find the $$ and get yourself the Progress RSB, that probably has made the biggest impact keeping the rubber down on all 4 with those tight turns. Then save a bit more and put the ASPEC Suspension on it to finish it off, you will not be disappointed, guaranteed! That's it, no more from me, later. . .
