ASPEC suspension

What is the difference between the stock Auto 06 TL suspension and the ASPEC suspension. Does it lower it at all and does it ride the same?

Wouldn't be much point to get aspec suspension if it rode the same. I surely wouldn't have wasted my money on it.

Yes, you will get a drop and a sportier feel and better handling.

Many threads about this topic, but the cheapest way to get the suspension is off some of the dealers on eBay.

Most dealers will not seperate the wheels and suspension (they sell them in a pkg). This may be ok for you, but you will pay more at your local dealer. There are some Acura dealers that sell parts on eBay, you should take a look. You will pay more for install at your dealer as well, and they probably won't install parts you bought on eBay as well.

I personally got my dealer to come down a bit on the parts, and I just had them do my suspension and wheels. I did order my own tires from tirerack.com and had them shipped to dealer or install on my aspec wheels. I was willing to pay a little more, and just have the peace of mind that should something go wrong everything should be covered under my factory warranty with no problems, asn I bought everything from my dealer and they installed everything.

I've been suspension shopping for a couple months now and I haven't found anyone who is willing to separate the kits. They did it for a short time and found themselves with a ton of wheels to get rid of. Honda won't sell just the suspension for the TL so were stuck with having to buy both.

An alternative is to go with an aftermarket setup like Tein, Koni, etc. There are a lot of posts on this site regarding the ride and performance of the different models.

The A-Spec kit lowers between 0.5" to 1", if that, all around. IMO, if you don't mind this mild lowering, the alternative would be Koni adjustable paired with the stock springs. If you lower the spring seats to the lowest position, it'll lower the car about 0.6", which is about the same as A-Spec.

Konis go for about <$600 per set on eBay, a little cheaper than A-Spec, and you also gain damping adjustability. You can tailor the balance between ride quality and handling that's just right for you by simply turning the adjustment knob.
