Anyone have trouble getting bottom bolt out of strut in front?

Went to install my springs today and could not the the bottom bolt put of the yoke at the bottom of the strut. Nut came off but it seems to be seized in the bushing as the bushing would turn slightly if I turned the bolt. Tried hitting it out with a hammer and no luck even tried heat. Anyone ever have this problem?

Thanks!

Try taking a small jack and putting it under the knuckle/lower control arm area. jack it up slightly to relieve tension on bolt. The pressure of the spring pushing down is holding the bolt in place. When i installed my coilovers the driver side was a biatch to get out.

The bolt is only threaded enough for the nut to secure it in place, not the lenght of that bolt.

Try to wiggle the wheel up and down and see if it relieves some pressure on the bolt (watch the bolt while wiggling to see if it is helping). I hope this helps as it is hard to explain.

I did try that. I think the problem that I am having though the bolt is seized in the metal collar in the bushing.

I have never had a problem. Dead blow mallet or hammer. Once the bolt head pokes a little you can use a smaller wrench to get under the collar and pry out while hitting.

Or jacking up knuckle and wiggling out works. I would also recommend anti-sieze when putting in but not on threads.

Tried a dead blow even had my air hammer out with no luck. My friend is an acura tech here in York. I'm going to drop it off to him and see if he can somehow get it loose while its on his lift and then I will finish.
