I'm considering these 2 types of tires, size 235/45-17, to replace my current 225/50-17 Mich Pilot XGT-Z4. I need an all season tire and would like something cheaper than the Michelins, which currently have 40000 miles on them and are good for maybe another 10-15K. I drive about 40000 miles a year, so spending $800+ a year on tires is a bit much. The Michelins have amazingly not yet needed balancing, provide excellent wet grip, and much better dry grip than the stock Mich Pilot HX MXM4s.
Anyone have any experience with or thoughts on the BFGoodrich or the Dunlop?

I've got the SP 5000 Asm's on my '97 Maxima SE. Great tire. I've always liked Dunlop stuff and living in New England I have to get an all-season tire (don't really like driving with snows even though it's better). I've got 225/50ZR16's and had them for about 20,000 miles and gone through one hell of a winter with them (record snowfalls here last year). Only got stuck once and that was when we got 26" of snow in less than 48 hours. They're awesome in dry and wet and decent enough in the snow. I highly recommend them.
