Any special care for Type-S wheels?

OK I had 04, 06 and 07 TL, but just got an 08 TL-S. I assume the regular TL wheeles are painted and the Type-S is as well, can I use same cleaners on the Type-S wheels? I assume they have a heavy clear coat on them?

I washed and waxed my wheels. I removed the wheels and cleaned the front and back of each wheel then waxed the front and back with Griot's one step paint sealant. Dust just flushes off.

Steer clear of curbs

Waxing new wheels is fun, but watch out, for these S wheels are more easily damaged than most. The wide wheel, combined with a low profile tire makes them vulnerable to curb scratches like nothing I ever owned.

I think the painted wheels is more sturdier to keep them from staining on harsh cleaners. But I guess all or most wheel cleaner at your local auto store are clear coat safe cleaners.
I prefere to use polymer base protectant(spray polymer) rather than wax . Wax tends to wear out quick once the wheels get hot after some breaking and it'll melt the wax away. Although it dont help from brake dust build up but it makes washing with soap and water much easier as I dont like to use those wheel cleaner every time I wash my car.
