Any issues running 245/45/18s on an 2005 MT?

I know that the speedometer will be off by about 5%.

Are there any other issues? Is this frowned upon?

aside from the rim protection you might get some sidewall flex on heavy cornering

Interesting. Here's what 1010 tires says when I do the comparison:

Warning! When changing tires sizes, we recommend staying within 3% of the diameter of the original tire. Any more than this and you face the risk of brake failure.

The diameter difference between the 235/45-17 and 245/45-18 is 5.1%
