Another Tire Posting
I hate to put another tire posting out here....
I just got a 2003 TL-S, and the stock Michelin tires are as bad as the "Blows" stereo – Thanks again SouthBound and everyone else who helped with the Polk DX-6 upgrade!!!!!
I have read many postings about fellow TL-S owners putting 225/50/17, 225/45/17 and even some putting 235/45/17 on the factory wheels. I am not looking to race the car, nor do I drive that fast or aggressively, but I do want the car to handle like other $30K sport sedans. My instinct is to put 225/45/17s on it, mostly because they have a similar load rating to the stock size and there is a much greater selection. I see that many on Acura-TL.com have put both of these sizes on, and I don’t see too many indicating problems.
I live in Florida, so I am putting summer tires on it, and am leaning towards the Yokohama AVS ES100.
So, do I keep the stock size or do put 225/45 or 225/50 on it. If you reply, please explain why you are making the recommendation.
Thanks
