Alignment Procedures from Service Manual
Hi,
Can anyone post the relevent pages from the Factory Service Manual on front end alignment procedures and specs?
My '05 TL is out of spec and the dealer was unable to adjust to within specs. The dealer technician was unaware how to adjust so Acura tech was called and they were told to move the subframe, this was done with crowbars after unbolting. It apears as though there is an adjuster tool that should have been used.
Thanks,
David

The specs are also in the owner's manual, page 257 for the 2004 manual, nearby for 2005.
Here are the scans from the service manual. It looks as if the proper alignment might have been beyond the capabilities of the dealer, and maybe should have been sent to a shop that has the equipment to do it right.

Those specs are from the old 2004 shop manual before Honda changed them due to the rear-tire wear problem in 2005.
Both front & rear are now 0mm toe +/- 2mm. Same goes for the TLS cause it isn't special.
I would recommend getting it set with just slightest hint of rear toe in (less than 1mm). Any amount of toe-out in the rear will make the car wanna tram-line really bad.
BTW here is a few conversions:
2mm
0.08 (degrees)
0' 4.8" (degrees' minutes")

OOPS SORRY!!! I botched the above conversions.
Please ignore them and follow these.
2mm Total toe =
0.16* (Degrees) Total toe =
0' 9.6" (Degrees' Minutes") Total toe
For whatever reason, the Honda alignment specs always assume an outer tire diameter of 28.2 inches. This must be some Japanese alignment standard, because the outer diameter of the tires is definitely NOT 28".
