Air Suspension?

I know I'm gonna get flamed for asking this...

But has anyone you know of installed an air suspension on or 3gTL's?

the only reason I ask is I live in Montecito California, and if anyone has been to the area (santa Barbara county) the hills and driveways make it IMPOSSIBILE to lower a car. I mean driving the driveway on a stock suspension still hits the under carriage of the car sometimes.... *!&*&@^!

I wanted to go with the full coilover kit, and I thought that if I got the EFAC (or whatever the acronym is) i'd be able to adjust height, but I was mistaken (thanks for informing me guys) and that it only adjust dampening levels. not height.

so I was left considering air suspension.

now I know the stigma that air suspension carries, and trust me, I'm no happy about toting some canister in the back of my car(ghetto) but I just Love the way a TL looks on 19/20"s and dropped about 1.5 inches or so... but I know I'd KILL my car out on these roads.... and if I get the aspec or RonJon Kit??? forget about it...

i could drive 2 mph and any angle available in these towns and i'd scratch the car to 5H1T if I had that setup...

so it's leave stock, air suspension, or only drive my car on the low lying areas of the city... or any other opinions you fine acurazine members have...

opinions?

feel free to yell... i'm just trying to find alternatives..

I don't think anyone has put an air ride on a 3G...yet. However, it's only a matter of time. Now, I actually like air rides (from a looks perspective)...I even thought about it, but didn't want to spend the money. If you've got the cash, go for it...I, for one, think it would be awesome and would love to see it!

Oh, and while most people here will probably flame you, don't worry about it...it's your car...do what you want to do with it.

does anypne knew about the durability and drive ability of these things? I can't see them having the same driveability as coilovers (i was looking at the tein) but unless there's another way to adjust height instantly, i don't see an alternative.

but if they ride like crap, i'll just keep it stock.

opinions?

I think an air ride would be sweet.

As far as durability goes, truckers have had them for years.
