An absolute must do: Insist on the Road Force balancing machine!!!

I just had my new Pirelli Zero Nero MS installed. After reading on the very informative Tire Rack web site about the Hunter Road Force machine and all it can do I wanted to make sure my installer had one. I am picky about work done on my car and why not use a state of the art machine to do it right!! Very few tire /service centers have one in the Asheville area. Luckily Deal Motor Cars, a dealer for Audi/Porsche/VW is a official installer for Tire Rack. Their techician, Tim, was a real pro mounting and balancing the tires. It took him 90 minutes because the Road Force was spitting out very exact data re wheel and tire conditions. It shows if a rim or tire is out of round, taking all the quess work out of it. One tire had to be moved several times on the rim to eliminate high/low spots and to zero out perfectly. It was a lot of work to do it right. It was very educational to see the whole process and made a believer out of me- always insist on using a Road Force machine. It will make you sleep better.

Thanks, baby_igor.
I hoped that an Acura dealer close to me had one, like the GM dealers...no such luck. Fortunately, I haven't had any issues with my stock 17" wheel/Michelin combo. At least the Honda dealer nearest my house and a couple of nearby decent tire shops have the Hunter machine.

I've never needed to do use the road force balace on the TL. My Merkur always required it. Maybe the Pirelli tires are not as round as Michelin as I have no need to road force balance my Pilots. They are smooth as glass.

Check out any local Discount Tire Co. I had new tires put on today from them here in Las Vegas.........Hunter Road Force machine was used to balance mine. Car dives like a DREAM now with my new Falken FK 452s.........well any new tire vs stock Michelins (crap) would.
