The roads here a bad, has anyone had experience with mounting 50 series instead of the stock 45 series tires? thx

Nothing wrong with a 50 series, but a 235/50-17 is pretty tall at 26.28" compared to 25.38" OE tires, but the new Acura TL uses 245/50-17 as OE equipment 26.64". I'd consider a softer and more forgiving H rated in the 235/50-17, but if the height is not to your liking, take a look at a H rated 245/45-17.
