3G TL owner in need of help!
Hello there, so I am completely new at this, first time posting..I have read several forums here and its been an incredible help! Now I kind of need some feedback and help from you guys!
So I have a '04 TL, 6 MT..obviously with the brembos up front. I purchased a set of BBS LM reps they are 19x8.5" all around with +38 offset. CB is at 67.1 which is not really my concern, I know its 64.1 with our cars.
I am lowered on TEIN SS Springs, and I'm looking into getting tires now..now I already tried the fitment and it doesn't clear the brembos up front, so obviously I ordered spacers in..I read on another forum 15mm F and 20mm R is the best. So now I know it'll clear and have a pretty flush set up, my only concern is tire size.. especially sidewall. I was thinking 225/40/19, 225 for a minor stretch, but the 40 series im concerned on rubbing/fitment. I've read several forums and just can't get a clear answer if I should go with 225/40/19, 225/35/19, or even 235/40/19..Its crazy so I'm really stuck and want to see if anyone has had this set up or knows a bit more to which would be a better selection!
THANK YOU guys!!

You don't need spacers that large. With the ones you've ordered, your offsets will be +23 and +18, which is pretty aggressive. When people recommend 15mm and 20mm spacers, typically they are discussing using them with stock wheels that are 1/2" narrower than your wheels and also have an offset of +45.
With 19" wheels, you need a 35 series sidewall. 225/35/19 would be what I recommend, however if you decide to run a 215/35/19 instead, you can reduce the amount of negative camber you need to clear the fenders.
What alignment products do you have installed, if any?

Hey thank you for the response!
Well unfortunately the spacers are already here so nothing I can do, with it being that aggressive at +18 and +23 do you think it's gonna cause problems? And I appreciate your input on the sidewall series on recommending a 35 series, so I guess I'll do that, I'm afraid of 40 that will cause rubbing like crazy.. As of right now I have nothing with alignment parts, I never got around to getting a camber kit but I know most likely I'll have to get one. So with the tires most likely I'm leaning into the 225/35/19.. Again I'm just more worried now about fitment and look with the spacers and these wheels..what do you think?

Without having your rear fenders rolled AND having such a low offset, the fender will literally sit on top of the tire.
At one time I was running 235/45/18 on a set of 18x8.5 wheels with +25 offset. So not much stretch but 20mm more aggressive than stock. Even with rolled rear fenders and nearly -2 degrees of camber, I would occasionally rub. Your setup will have the same width but you'll have an even lower offset, no rolled fenders, and no way to correct negative camber whether you plan on adding some to clear the fender or removing some to help with tire wear.
Are you sure you can't exchange the spacers from the seller for smaller ones?

Oops, I had a typo. I was running 235/40/18 not 235/45/18.
