Normally in 19" a 245/35-19 tire is used, so the 245/40-19 is about 1" taller than the OE tires, so probably look a little odd.
As far as the wheels, you'll need to post the make/ model 19" specs, width, offset and the TL, either Brembo front brakes or single piston?

Offset. Bolt Pattern. Hub Bore.

We need sizes/specs on those three things as well.

I picked up a set of NEW OEM A-Spec 18X8 TL wheels. Now, I want to see the 235/40, 245/40 and 255/40 on this new set

Stock OD is 25.3"/25.4" (depending on if you had 17's or 18's).

The tire you're referencing probably has a 26.7" OD, so it's 1.4" taller. If you're not lowered, it'll fit. It's far from optimal, but it'll fit (provided all the rest of the wheel specs are in order). As Turbonut stated, the 245/35 is the better choice, with a general OD of 25.8".
