got a 6MT with HP tires.. don't like those very much so I think I'll replace them with Falken ST115. While I'm at it, figure I'll get a little wider tire (stock is 235/45/17).


So it'll either be 245/45 or 245/40 (leaning towards 245/40)

car is not lowered, and no mods were done (its a lease)

any advice, and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

if anybody has pics that would be EXTREMELY appreciated.

I guess I should be more clear in my question.

is anybody running on 245/40/17 with stock rims? or 245/45/17 .. why did u make that choice ?

Moving from the 235/45R17 to the 245/40R17 will drop the outside diameter of the tire by about 6/10's of an inch (stock is 25.3 vs 24.7). The 245/45R17 will raise it to 25.7 so the 245/45R17 will be closer in OD to keep the speedometer as close as possible.

Also realize that there can be variances from one tire manufacturer to another. Any changes within a half inch or so should be fine.

no issue whatsoever. I put 245/45/R17 on stock rims.

I ended up ordering a set of 245/45/17 ... hopefully will get those installed before the week is over.. if u'll still be looking for pics by then, I'll be able to take some
