I currently have 245/35/19 on 19x8.5 wheels with a +36. I am about ready to get new tires and I was considering getting 245/40/19 since in 15000 miles I have bent 2 rims and replaced them plus the ride just isnt as good as id like it to be. I figure the extra wall would cushion the ride a bit. BESIDES the OD being different thereby affecting an acurate speedo reading, would there be any other problems? does any body have this setup? would it look weird?

You didn't ask for the following info, but here it is anyway...

- Your speedometer reading will read 5.5% slower than with the stock 235/45/17's. That means when your speedometer reads 60 mph, you will be travelling at 63.3 mph.

Also, take in to consideration that your car will not be as quick because of the increase in tire diameter and overall increase in weight due to tires and rims. You should also have an increased chance of rubbing.
