235/45/17's on stock suspension

I don't want to muck with the stock suspension but would like to put on some more aggresive looking tires/wheels on my TL. I was thinking of going with 17x8 wheels and 235/45/17 tires. Will this setup look funny if I don't lower the car? Anybody out there have this type of setup? If so, could you please post pics.

17x8 is fine, but your must find a rim that has a high offset. If you don't lower the car it will look... well stock! I would get some springs if you can't afford coilovers.

This is the exact set-up I have. I have 17X8, 235x45x17 and +40 offset. It looks fine, rides rough but steady, but does rub once in a while, backs only. If you want to go with these tires, get yourself a high offset on the rims

Oh yeah, my car is not lowered. It does look like a 4x4..... Just kidding. It looks OK to me.
