225-45-17 vs 235-45-17 winter tires

hey guys,
It's that time of the year to pick up a set of winter tires for me 3G TL. Wheels will be mounted on stock tires.

I was hoping to gather some opinions about the pro's vs con's of running a 225 tire vs a 235 for winter.

The set I really want only come in a 225 width but the stock size is a 235.

I would think that a 225 winter tire would be a better option considering the narrower contact patch and winter.

Thanks,
