225/45/17 Tires on Stock CL Type S Wheels
Hi all,
I just bought a 2001 White CL Type S. I Think the Michelins on it are ugly and too skinny. How do the 225/45/17s look and are there any negatives to getting them. The car is only 3 days old. I don't want to screw it up....Thanks.....H

-2% Change..What is the conversion into change in mph?
What would be the actual speed if traveling 55mph? Also, would these tires look in reference to gap between fender wells and tire?..H

Lawaia is right. Especially, since the stock wheel gap is horrendous as it is. That size will just increase it. Your only other option is 235's but that's risking it.
These are 225/45-17 with Comptech springs. There is still some gap.

I had 225-45-17 w/ 5 Zigen Corpes wheels on my 2000 TL (Sold & Got 2002 TL-S 3 Weeks Ago) and They looked pretty nice. My car was not lowerd. I had many people come & ask me if I lowered my car and I tell tolf NO. Many people thought my car was lowered.

Matter of fact, If I were you, I would go with 235/45/17...ALOT of people, I mean ALOT of people on the CL forum have done this with their stock rims, and have NO rubbing issues...since the stock rims have high offsets, If I were you, I would go with 235/45/17 since it is almost same diameter as stock and it fits...
