215/50-17??

I'm looking for a more comfortable and less bumpy ride. Will 215/50-17 or 225/50-17 solve the problem comapred to 235/45-17??? Please advise!!!

The bottom line is get rid of your Bridgestones...I've never had a problem with them, but I think I'm the one-in-a-million. I know a couple of people have 225's, but given the ease of scraping, I wouldn't go lower than 235. 245 would be good. Just get a set of Toyo Proxes 4 in either 235 or 245 and you'll be set.

A thinner, higher profile tire is probably not what you want. Any air volume you gain from the profile is lost in the width, and it would be a shame to needlessly sacrifice performance. A wider tire in the same profile, like a 245/45/17, will provide some additional air volume and may smooth your ride a bit. Tire selection is probably more important than dimensions. A good quality all-season performance/touring tire is probably what you should be looking for - like a Michelin, Pirelli, or Continental. Definitely steer clear of 'summer' tires if a smooth ride is a top priority. Remember that, while there may be some good values out there, you generally do get what you pay for when it comes to tires. Lastly, pay attention to air pressures. Lower pressures generally provide a bit softer ride at the expense of some responsiveness - but don't go lower than Acura's recommendation.
