20K and need new tires
Is it reasonable for the bridgestone tires that came on the 04 TL to need replacing already (@ 20K miles)? I don't drive this car like a madman, but both rear tires are already down to 2/32" and the fronts 4/32".
Can anyone recommend a reasonable non-performance tire? I have no desire to spend $500 every year to replace tires.

Tires
These are known issues guys. The OEM Bridgestones that 04s have are garbage . Gotta be the ELS 42s right? Shitcan them and get Michelins or many other good replacements.

I have 19,600 miles and still have 6/32 on front and 7/32 on rear (actually, just the opposite now, I just rotated them)
Are yours the HPT? They will melt away much faster. Falken is my next choice once these wear out.

Do you really think that the TL is "that exclusive" that it's going to have totally different tires compared to any other vehicle on the road? lol
remember, Bridgestone tries to get more and more customers because it's helpful for their business

Did you buy EX or ZE? I'm in dilema for these two.

My RE030's m(HPT) lasted 22,362 miles and still have a "little" tread left so they should make for a good track set (should I ever get into it) so I kept them. Three are work to treadbars. The forth is nearly a slick (I had a small alignment issue that wore that one more than the others for about 3000 miles). Repalced them with Dunlop Sport 9000's. They are a little pricey at nearly $200/tire installed but seem to work as well or better than the HPT's. Driving in rain is like driving on dry asphalt. Very quiet as well.
