2008 TL Fitment???
I'm currently on the stock 245/45/17 tires on my 2008 TL. I was looking into jumping up to 18" rims and I found a really nice set of rims that are 18x8 +45mm offset. Would that fit on my car? And what tires would I have to buy if they do? Could I buy 255s? The whole situation on the tire profile and the offset are really confusing me, because Discount Tire says it can handle 255/40/18, but would that +45mm offset conflict with that? Honestly, with all this confusion, if anyone could explain how the profile and offset and just the general compatibility work, that'd be much appreciated too please.
Thanks so much in advance!!

The OEM A-Spec wheels are 18x8 + 45, so no worries for you at all. On that size, people like to use tire widths from 225 (slightest amount of stretch) to 245 (just a bit of meat for some curb protection).
I personally have 245/40 on my 18 inch A-Spec wheels, and have no regrets on this spec at all.
