20" rims lowered on Tein S springs
I've searched and looked through forums, and trying to find an answer. Most people here with 20's aren't lowered
So question is what's the recommended tire size when lowered on tein springs? 225/35/20? Trying to avoid 30 series tires

Yup i would definitely avoid 30 series also. A 225 isn't wide enough for such a big wheel, the stock tire is a 235 and thats a 17 inch wheel so you should definitely get something wider maybe a 245 or 255. Also depends on the dimensions of the wheels, you're gonna have to roll the fenders too but thats the least of your worries.

Ummm....maybe I'm missing something here...but what does a 225 series tire have to do with a 20" rim? Comparing rim diameter to tire width doesn't make any sense. If it's a 20x7.5 rim for example (hopefully not) then a 225 tire would be perfectly fine.
Also, a 30 series sidewall would be appropriate in terms of overall size...just not for comfort or rim protection. A 35 series tire will be a larger diameter than stock by a decent margin.
Finally, Tein springs isn't very descriptive. H techs are a very minor drop, s techs are a bigger drop. How these affect your current set up will depend on rim width and offset, as well as tire size you choose. From what I can tell, you should do a little more research before purchasing anything.

But I have tein s tech and rims came with 245/35/20 tires but need replacing soon.
So I was just wondering if anyone else had this setup. I rolled the rear and it just rubs on dips. So was thinking if I just go 225 I'll be good.

So I missed the s tech line on your thread title, my bad on that. But really, the important things we are missing here are the rim specs. What width, what offset. Like I said, the fact that they are 20" has nothing to do with 225 vs 245.

Rims 20x8.5 35offset.

I have katana 20" rims wrapped with 225/35r20 and lowered using tien lowering springs. I did have to roll a little the rear fenders but it all fits very well and I only rub if I pack five people in the car. Other wise its all good.

I knew those wheels looked familiar...they're big versions of stock Mazda 3 wheels!

This photo shows where the rims rub on my car but thats only due to the Ingalls lowering kit. Somehow that kit pushes the rear wheels back. I don't like that and I'm going to change to SPC camber arm.
