19's whats the lowest drop.

Finally got my rims... ended up getting a set of Racing Hart 19x7.5 w/ 225/35/19 nitto tires. Also have a H&R race drop 2.2F 1.75R... Now i wanna go lower still. I was looking into Apexi Coilovers and the Tein's, I really didnt wanna spend that much money cause i just got the car last month and spend 500 bucks for the H&R's w/ install.

So the real question is... how low have most people gone w/ 19's?

If u dont wanna spend that much money on coilovers look into ground control with konis or tociko i got it on my 99 tl and my **** is dumped(2.5 f 2.25r but i got 17s with 45 series im sure u could get close to that with 19 and 40 series 35 series if the make em but i think they only make them in 17" tires. The ground control kit is adjustable 0-3 inches so u could do whatever u wanted and the struts adjust, it would just be really stiff

It all depends on the offset of your wheels. If they're at least +45 or greater you'll be able to slam it low with coilovers. You may have to snip and trim here and there but you shouldn't have major rubs.

offset is a 44 w/ the 19x7.5 225/35/19. I can tell i need to cut that back tab for the rear wheels cause on a big bump i think i here it rub. But i really need to look into a coil over of some sort cause i need to go lower.

A fellow TL'r has the identical setup - with some trimming of the rear bumper tab there was no rubbing. Good luck on your choice of coilovers. Post some pics too!

I see that there are diff setups you can go w/ using the ground controls. Is there a big diff for different spring rates w/ these or should I just end up gettin the Eibach Sport line kit?

ground control

i would recommend either the tociko illumina or the koni yellows with the ground control kit. tociko's will be nicer on the pocket, thats what i chose and i love the ride but alot of people go with the koni yellows. depends if price is a problem or not!

Hey 2lo did you get the RH C2's??? I really want those as well!! Congrats on the rims bro!!! Also I wouldn't recommend the Ground Control's unless you don't mind a really stiff ride!!! I have the Apexi's and it's stiff but not nearly as stiff as the GC!!! and if your going to go with new shocks just buy the Apexi's!!!! When you total it all up they should be about the same $$$ They ran me $650 and the shocks are made for the springs cuz it's a true coilover! my .02

P.S. post pics when you can bro!!!!

Sounds like your doing big thangs there the rims are on your ride now right? there also 19x7.5 w/ +44 offset? Did you have any prob. with them hitting the front brakes at all??? Cuz I heard that was a prob with the C2's?

Also the AEM big brake kit looks fvckin' dope when U get it in!!!

Nah no probs yet w/ the rims and the brakes Ima get the big brake kit after i get my Ultinons. I might end up getting a set of tokico adjustables first or my comptech exhaust. I dont know I'll see what ends up. Any suggestions?

Suggestions would be to try to get the Greddy exhaust if you want the most power cuz they make a full cat back!!! order from Ray for $700??? Not to bad huh? But first (again if U want power) get the Comptech header it makes about 32HP at top end :wow: I would just keep the H&R's 4 now and just save $$$ for the Apexi coilovers later Just sum advice because it's better to save and buy what U really want!!!

Also post sum pics when U get a chance homey!!!
