19's in the east during winter?

so I am moving to the east (Charleston, WV) form Orange County in early September. I currently have yokohama AVS Sports on my 19’s. I have asked everyone that I possibly could who lives there about the snow in the winter. Everyone says its really not that bad there and there is no way that AWD is needed ( I was considering selling my car and getting something more suited for the snow). its almost time for me to get new tires and I am already thinking of getting Pilot Sport A/S. my question is: will this setup be ok for the winter? Obviously there will be a few days where I wont be able to drive, but for the most part I think I will be ok as I can get a ride to work from a coworker that has an SUV or something. Can I survive with leaving my 19’s and all-season tires on or should I put my stock wheels on for the winter months? Thanks.

use your stock with some nice winter rubber. then switch back to your 19's during the spring.
