Post 18's with 42 offset

Will 18x 7.5's with 42 offset rub with 225/40/18's? I have a '98 with Eibach springs

i don't know but i've got a '01 w/18x8 & +45 offset wrapped in 225/40/18, the back rubbed so i had to do a lil' fendering rolling. lowered on H&R's. maybe this'll give you an idea. i heard to be on the safe side you shouldn't go under a +45 offset.

Yeah I know I heard that 48-52 offset is ideal and some people have gotten away with as little as 44 with no rubbing. I just saw a sweet deal on these 18's

i have 18x7.5s with +42 offset and there is absolutely no rubbing at all. my back two tires tuck just enough to prevent rubbing if i decided to drop it. my wheelgap isn't that bad at all. i'm not about to blow a lot of money on springs and stuff just to drop it a couple of inches when it's already looking sweet. i'll have pics soon!

I have 18x7.5's with a 45 offset and they rub in the rear with people in the backseat and my cars not even dropped. I'm gonna have to cut my quarters. I heard that every rim is a little different so maybe those will be okay.

You might have probs when you lower it...

I hear about so many of you having 18's and having problems with rubbing. I am thinking about just going with some CL-S or TL-S rims to be on the safe side.
