18" Tires

18" Tires
I need tires for the 18"s...I'm not sure whether to get 225 or 235. I'd rather have 235 as long as they dont' rub or anything happens. Do people have them with no problem? I was thinking about the Falken Azenis ST115. I just want a good performing dry tire that's pretty quiet. Wet and snow conditions aren't too much of a concern as I live in Southern California. Rain can be an issue, but for the most part, I just want quiet good performing season tires that aren't too much (around 150 each)

Depending on the offset of your wheels, 235's might work. As far as quietness, once you get 18's, it will be 40 series, so it's not going to be as quiet as your stock 60 series. You can try Yokohama AVS dB tires, they are said to be pretty quiet compared to others.

I have Yoko dB's 235's. +45 offset. I had to trim the plastic in the rears. If you are less than +45, I would not recommmend 235's. Higher offset should be ok with 235's. They are pretty quiet. I don't notice that much difference b/t the stock and the 40 series with regard to sound.

I agree with TopGum. Myself, I am dropped with H&R Sports, and have +45 offset on 7.5 inch tires, and all I had to do was shave the plastic tab to get rid of the rub with my Kumho 235's.
The Yoko dB's get great ratings for being quiet. My Kumhos arn't anything to complain about, either, though, and were ~$125.
