If you want some luxury but not as stiff a ride, thats when buyers go for the Accord EX-L Navi. When i traded my 08 Accord EX-L/ navi coupe, I was shocked how more firm and solid my 08 TL Tech was but i like a firm ride and steering that gives you full feedback of whats under me. This nis why when I test drive a car, i do NOT drive around the block. I jump on the freeway too to get the full feel of the car over different pavement, concrete, bridges and the like because this is something ill be in a while (2 years usually).

i read a lot of user reviews on edmunds and yahoo. a lot of people say that it has a bumpy ride. i guess im just not used to it

I've always read firm and type s very firm but not bmw harsh. Did you not read these reviews b4 u purchased??? Most people do. It's like buying a house and reading after that you're in a bad area. Had u read area info b4. you'd never have moved there in the 1st place...lol.

I personally find the TL's ride to be perfect: not overly harsh, without riding like a boat.

The '04 - '06 TL was more stiff IMO, I thought the '07/'08 base had an ideal ride/handling combination for the segment

My '05 did not like freeway expansion joints or broken pavement at all.

My mom had 06 tl and only chancge really is front shocks in 07-08 is 8 percent softer. I really cant tell only going over railroad tracks at moderate speed there is a slight float. It's very quick though.
