'07-'08 TL H&R sport springs question...

Ok I have a base 07 TL and purchased the H&R lowering sport springs from an 07 type S member. I didn't think about this at first and now that I have the springs, I realized its for the type S.

Anyways can I put these springs on for the regular TL? Are the springs for type S and base TL different sizes? I do see different part numbers for the base and type S. 50104 is base and 50106 is type S.

They're both exactly the same.

Well, except for the part numbers.

I guess.

OP - they will "fit", but the way H&R numbers and describes their parts there is no way for the average buyer tell by looking at the fitment guide if they are exactly the same or not.

Old thread, I know. I had a similar question though so I contacted TireRack who in turn contacted H&R (from what I was told) and this is the information I received:

"The difference is in the spring rate and type of wire used. The exact specifications they consider proprietary, however the difference comes from the fundamental differences in the cars-The Type S has a larger engine and more agressive suspension rates. They are not transferrable. Consequently, if you have the Type S you do not want the normal TL variant. Obviously the reverse is also true."
