04 TL not lowered still have camber problems
Hey i am a total noob to this forum so please don't flame me if this is a stoopid question. I have an 04 TL with 18's 245x40 ZR18's. i am not lowered at all and i still have camber problems where the alignment shop tells me i need a camber kit and that they can't align it no matter what. after reading the sticky about camber kits (thanks Mrheeltoe) i am beginning to think that i don't need the camber kit if i just tell them to do a four wheel alignment? is this right or do i need the ($1200) kit?

If it was purchased used, are you certain it's not lowered. When they put it on the rack and take the readings, they should be taking the readings on all 4 wheels, and if the camber is out there is no adjustment on the TL and the only correction is a kit. There are other ways, but they aren't the correct way of doing the adjustment. If only 1 wheel, bent or worn suspension components.
If you have the printout of the alignment, post it and you’ll get replies.
Any uneven wear on the tires?

$1200?!?!?!??!
RUN!
Even if the car is lowered a bit and the camber is out a bit I wouldn't worry about it. I would sooner look into the TSBs on the rear upper arms and the bump stops. There were a couple issues from the factory that impacted inner tire wear from the factory that could be your problem.

yeah the front tires were worn to the cord on the insides of both front tires and that was probably after a year of having them (with rotations done by Acura for scheduled maint.)

The alignment is off. The car needs a new alignment. If the camber is off in the rear, you might need to get an updated rear arm or new bump stops. But if the front is worn inside that is all the Toe on your alignment.

If thre tires are feathered on the inside, toe problem, as the tread is being dragged across the road surface and hence feathered edge, but if worn smooth, camber as the inside is turning faster than the outside and it just wears the tread away.
What is the measurement between the top center of the tire and the fender, front? rear?
