225/35 and 245/35 the tires would not be taller...you got your numbers mixed up...the rear tires will be wider...not taller!!!!! first numbers = width second numbers = height.

The G37 Lugs are 12x1.25 thread. The TL uses a 12x1.5 thread.

No worries though AaronChiles had a set for mounting these on a 3g and I picked it up from him.

so if a tapered (lugcentric?) lug is used, would we still need hub centric rings to align the wheels properly? reason i asked is ive been searching night and day for 64.1 ID to 66.1 OD rings and no one seems to have it. e.g. ebay, discount tire, 1010, autozone, advance auto, online...

I think that's it, I have hub centric rings, haven't used them yet, rides quite good.

This is the label form the package, you should grind off a little of the hex toward where it tapers down to go into the wheel because it grinds a little metal from the wheel when you twist them in.

Other than that no problems.

I have a set of the hub centric ring if anyone wants to buy them.

I know this is old, but Turbonut was correct. A 245/35 will be taller than a 225/35, since the aspect ratio (35) is the percentage of the tread width (225 or 245), so of course a 245/35 will be taller than a 225/35. The aspect ratio, even though it's the same percentage across the board, is still directly proportional to the section width. As the tire gets wider, it also has to get taller.

245mm x .35 = 85.75mm x 2 = 171.5mm / 25.4mm (1 inch) = 6.75" + 19" wheel = 25.75" OD

225mm x .35 = 78.75mm x 2 = 157.5 mm / 25.4mm = 6.2" + 19" wheel = 25.20" OD

Hence, the 245 would be .55" taller than the 225. Enough to be noticeable to a discerning eye. This is why BMW, Audi, Infiniti or any performance oriented RWD manufacturer will often run a 35 series on the front and a 30 series on the rear to keep them very close in overall diameter, or say 40's on the fronts and 35's on the rears. It's the only way to keep staggered setups from looking goofy.

I think they will will work if your car is AT but if your car has MT you going to need 5mm spacers in front to clear brembo.

Tire Question

Guys,

Just had a quick question on tires for these exact G37S stock wheels.
I plan on having about the same drop height as H&R sport springs. So about 1.5" drop.

Can I run these tires sizes?
235/35/19 for the fronts
245/40/19 for the rears

I know the rear will sit a tiny bit higher but I don't think that will bother me..Am I at a disadvantage here?

You need to run a 35 sidewall on all 4 wheels, not just on the front.

Okay so the reason is because the 40 sidewall in the rear will affect the speed odometer too?

I have the g37 wheels on my tl with stock tire size and stock height but I'm Gona buy some new tires but I am also Gona go drop the car low what tire size would you guys recommend so that I won't rub as much ?
I've seen 215/35/19 in front and 225/35/19 in back before would that be good ? Any opinions
