'04 Stock Tires
Took my '04 in for service yesterday and complained about the wear on the tires. I currently have 20k miles on them. Dealer said they have bulletin to replace at 75% of cost to me i.e. they will replace all four tires (same type but claim they have fixed the problem) and alignment for $704. Good deal or are they holding back?
Note: They claim they can only do this if car has <25k miles.

what tires do you have? If you have the Turanza EL42, they are not worth paying 75% for.

they are the worst tires, they will hydroplain in the rain and they have a very short life. Ur lucky u got about 20k from them. Ask you dealer if you can get the michelns or an other tire.

EL 42s come on Infiniti, BMW, and other high ticket autos so they can't be all that bad.
I picked up a nail in a tire and the dealer refuse to repair it as it was "toward the side". I ended up buying a new EL42 (so it would match) for $200. They are expensive high performance tires rated for 165 MPH. I decided I wouldn't want to go anywhere near those speeds with a plug in the (front) tire.
