WOW-car alarm will not stop

OK so I feel dumb, but I left my passenger window down and it started to rain really hard for about 15 - 20 mins. I noticed my car alarm going off so I ran outside. I see that my window was down. I dry off my seat. It didn't seem like it was too wet. Well now the car will random unlock it's self over and over. It stops and then starts again like 30 mins later. Setting off my car alarm. It started to fog in my car (even tho everything seems dry??) so I took my s2000 out the garage in the rain and put the TL in there with the windows all down. I noticed the lock and unlock button doesn't work anymore only on the passenger side. What can I do? I really hope it stops unlocking and setting the alarm off at 12 am. I am about to just unplug it from the battery, but that seems like a huge hassle to do all the time.

Any recommendations ?

Isn't it obvious that the switches on the door got wet?

Remove the door panel, disconnect, remove, or replace the switch assembly. It might be OK if it dries out, but it could take a long while.

That happened to me couple of years ago over the summer during a thunderstorm,sucks.. Best thing to do is let it sit in the sun and let everything dry.. I think I used something for humidity inside the car and that work also.. But make sure you leave it off.. You don't want any water hitting the eletrical..

I had to drive it to work today. I noticed when I was drive the doors unlocked and locked a couple times on its own, but the rest of the day it hasn't done anything wrong and the button seems to be working again. The thing that sucks would be that it wont be sunny for the next couple days ( raining ). I think I am going to take the door panel off tonight and put a fan on the door. Hopefully it dries out and everthing works again. If not I guess ill have to change out the assembly. Would discounting it also work for now till I buy the parts ?

What do you mean discounting??

I mean it shouldn't be that bad since you have been driving it and everything works.. If I remember that mine did the same for a couple of days .. Just leave it to air dry.. open all the doors and get some air circulation in there..

Your MICU ( which is what controls your alarm, windows, door locks, ) is integrated to the drivers side interior fuse box.
Chances are it got some moisture in there.

Eventually it should dry out and "fix" your issue.

I had a similar problem whenever it would rain. Ended up being a leak in my windshield seal.

My problems were:

.Door lock Ajar indicator on dash ( even though doors were locked )- would trigger alarm.
. Side view mirror would randomly adjust itself
. Door locks wouldn't lock themselves in the 30 seconds after I step out of my car.

even though I resealed the windshield. there was still moisture in that area.
So I took my dash apart and used my air compressor to speed up the drying process.

Ok so it seems everything has dried out. The passenger door is working again (unlocking and locking) and the car alarm doesn't go off anymore. Now I have a new problem. My SRS light came on while driving to work today. I am guessing it got a little wet under my seat and messed up a sensor ? What do you guys think? I might wait it out and see what happends before I bring it into the dealership. Not really in the mood to hear some retard price to fix this.

If anyone has any input I would appreciate it.
