Is it worth it?

I have a 2005 Acura TL, almost 2 years ago my oil pump went bad, I talked to a mechanic and he said that the oil pump bearings went bad, not the oil pump. Either way, I believe I damaged the engine, it had 180k on it though, so it may have been time for anew engine. I ended up buying a 2013 Acura TL and my car has been sitting ever since. The question I have is; is it worth it to install a re-manufactured engine in my TL? I have a business Dr. Motorworx who can install a re-manufactured engine in my TL for $3,900. They told me the engine is like a new engine, no miles. Your opinion on this matter would be much appreciated.

$3900 is a lot to put into a car with 180K miles. That said, if the TL is otherwise in good condition, it might be worth it for a friend or relative who might need a car- this way, you can have them pay for the engine so they get a new engine as well as a good car. The worst thing is for the 05 to just continue to sit unused. It's also a shame to send it to the wrecker if it's otherwise in good shape.

Thanks Erdoc48, well, the engine would have no miles on it, but the transmission does have 180k on it. The car is in great shape though so I'm contemplating it. I have a 2013 Acura TL but I really want the MDX so, I'm thinking of trading it in and having my '05 TL as well. Thank you for responding, I appreciate your advice.
