Wire between AC relay and clutch coil keeps failing
So recently my AC clutch would not engage, causing nasty humid Houston air to be my only option. All controls work fine so I diagnosed the problem to be a small wire between the AC stater coil (giant magnet that snaps the AC clutch plate to the spinning serpentine belt) and the under-hood relay. I ended up replacing the coil as well since i had the part in hand and didn't want to risk it. For two weeks the AC worked perfectly, then out of the blue it went back to old conditions. I did another grounding test and found the same wire (circled red in the pic attached) to be the culprit. What could be causing this small wire to keep going bad? Thanks in advance!

How do you know that it's the compressor/ compressor wire going bad? I don't know if this is the same for the 3G TL, but I'm trying to diagnose an old ML320 AC system and allegedly if there isn't enough refrigerant, the coil will stop activating. Maybe check your refrigerant levels with a manifold gauge to see if you're in spec?
