Windshield Crack - 2004 TL
Before I call the dealer, I wanted to check around with you people on the board about anyone with a similar problem. With no road debris damage or any visible small stone "strike" marks any where near the area, I found a windshield crack this morning. It is on the passenger side and appears to start out beneath the trim on the extreme right-hand side - its starting point is obscured by the trim. It is approximately 8" in length and nearly straight as an arrow.
To me, this appears to be some kind of windshield defect/fitment fracture, but I haven't exactly seen much on this board about glass problems. Has anyone found anything similar - cracks commence under the molding/no recollection of road debris collisions/etc?
Thanks!

Greg, What I have is what appears to be some kind of compression fracture/hole. Its weird its smooth on both sides and the 'inside' of the glass is hollowed out (if that makes sense). I was on the interstate doing arouind 70mph and I heard a pop......there is was. I am waiting to see if this injury tracks anywhere.

Followup - Windshield Crack - 2004 TL
Followup from Greg - I stopped by the dealer yesterday afternoon. The service manager took one look at the damage and without hesitation pronounced this to be a "stress fracture" and wrote it up for immediate warranty replacement. That is great service, especially given that this would cost me somewhere north of $500 for out-of-pocket repairs.
