Wheel Bearing problem
A while back i went sideways with the car and hit the curb, while other stuff was replaced one of them was the the wheel bearing on the left side, front wheel if i remember correctly. Driving after the accident repair i always noticed a little bit of that same noise i had due to that bearing problem. So i thought down the line i would look into it as it was barely noticeable. But now after a while i notice that it's much more pronounced (nothing like when i had the first wheel bearing problem tough) and its coming from the back. Its hard to tell which side it is but i lean towards the same side but back.
where should i look to get the new wheel bearing....how much do they go for and is it specific to the left, right side or are they the same for both. thanx

i have a bad front bearing as well. some stores carry cheaper made bearing like advanced and autozone. they quoted me $70 per bearing. I ordered from NAPA ( my mechanics recommendation )and it cost me $59. Also the dealer wanted $100 per bearing.
you need a press to install the front bearing so you can either remove the whole hub assembly and take it some where or have some one do all the work in there shop. Iv been quoted $190 for labor from the dealer, $170 from a private mechanic. 2.5 hours of labor. this is a carefully task becuase if done improperly the ABS light may stick on ( pressing the bearing in the hub ).
