vibration while braking

I'm getting very bad steering wheel vibration when i brake at high speeds. When I apply light pressure on the brakes at 60+, the steering wheel shakes quite vigorously --to the point that the fat under my triceps mimics the shake. I can't say i've noticed this in the past, only after the a-spec upgrade (wheels, suspension).

What do u think? Do i need an alignment?

warped rotors, you can get them fixed by doing the following:
1. re-bed the pads by doing 80-20 MPH stops using firm pressure, but not enough to enage ABS 3-4 times, followed by cool down with driving around, no brake usuage.

2. get the rotors cut even

3. get new rotors.

Sounds like it could be a wheel balance problem if it's not warped rotors.

Did all four tires/rims get balanced before mounting? If so, try swapping the rears to the front to see if the problem goes away. If the vibration disappears, it's a bad balance.

if it happened after the a-spec suspension install, this is what happened:
To install the a-spec suspension, the wheels must be removed.
When the wheels are remounted, if overtorqued, the rotor will warp and cause this. The only fix is to have the rotor cut or replaced.

a one time overtorque is unlikely to immediatly cause a problem this bad or we ALL would have it.
Could be rotor prob- how many miles on the brakes?
I have seen expensive new rotors have an issue- so thats not a valid defense!
The front to rear tire swap would be a good check, and/or have the tires rechecked on a Hunter Road Force balancer and go from there.
Are the tire pressures correct- lets start fresh here on a base line

I just got my 01 to stop doing that horrible shake under mild braking- so I do speak from gen2 personal experience on this issue. Still learning NOT to grip the wheel on braking~

okay, i'll have to run thru the test procedures listed above, much appreciated to all the advices. To be honest, i sort of used my muscle memory to achieve 80lb torque on the lugs. I'll check them with a torque wrench to see if thats the cause.
So far, I have 28,xxx miles on the stock brakes. I've set the tire pressure to 36F and 35R on Falken 912's. If the quick test procedures are not satisfactory, then I'll see about re-balancing.
So wheel alignment shouldn't be the cause? I've yet to get it done after the new wheels and suspension.

Was there any issue before the aspec?
If you are WAY toe out- that could be your problem
which you may be with the new aspec drop, an alignment should have been part of the install-IMO

Take it for an alignment- 4 wheel thrust align
camber should be near negative 1 degree for best handling
