Just coasting, or under acceleration? Does it seem to be the front or the rear end?

the 2nd post solves it all....

its prolly balance or bent rim....could also be a bubble or cup in the tire....

This seems to be a trait of all early TL's.

So your TL doesn't vibrate at the 80+ speeds?

NOPE !!!

it does not vibrate at all...I have hit 135mph+ speeds without vibration....

the only time my car vibrated was when my tired were not balanced for 15K miles and had developed a bubble....i was running no camber kit and hadnt aligned my car....then i had vibrations from 75-90 mph....and am talking about steering shaking crazily vibrations....

I am surprised, I have not met a TL owner that did not get vibration at 80mph and above. But I am also not talking about steering shaking crazily and vibrations, just a an ever so slight vibration, like an old mans tremors in his hands.

Balancing, alining, new tires, nothing seems to get rid of it. But it is only slightly.

I am having a similar issue but mine is at 55+ and under acceleration. Getting rims and tires check first before looking at other possible problems.

This is how i judge vibrations: i wear a big watch and kinda loose....

when i had the balancing issue, the watch used to go fucking crazy and wobble around on my wrist....

after the balancing, there is a slight vibration in the watch and thats always been there....so slight that its barely noticeable....after I got my suspension setup this was a little more noticeable but not one did anyone sitting in my car tell me it vibrates a lot....

bent rims
tire problems
alignment
balance
inside out tires
axles
etc are the usual suspects....

I just went through this. Got the wheels rebalanced and alignment done and it did not resolve the problem. The fix was to replace the driver side driveshaft.

Ive replaced both driveshafts, hunter road forced balance my tires, checked my wheels for bends, got an alignment, ensured I had my hubcentric rings on all four wheels, and have replaced my compliance bushings, and still get the vibration (slight shake in wheel) around 75+.....I have given up at this point, its something I am learning to live with...only thing I can think of doing it switching back to my stockies and seeing if it persists, but those are 750 miles away, so not very feasible.

Looks like I got rid of the vibration I had for so long, new urethane bushings all around and the car doesn't vibrate at all at 80+. Took 9 years but now I can drive at high speeds and not feel like I got a big bee in the steering wheel.

However at idol the urethane bushings transfer vibrations so much the cars shakes. lol

Also, look closely at your tires for even wear...some of these tires that are made in China can have delamination between belts, where you will seemore wear on certain parts of the tire. essentially that part of the belts has separated and causing a high spot. I had this problem with tires made by Capitol on my certified used car I bought. The car vibrated, and it got worse the faster I drove...not crazy bad, but enough to be annoying, and when the tire shop inspected it they said I was lucky I had not had a blow out because of it.

Just something else to consider if they are not a good name brand tire.
