Hello everyone!

My tranny went out at 130k on a 04 and I had it replaced with a re-man jasper transmission because of the warranty. But When I drove it home the green light next to the D starting flashing when I hit 3rd gear with the sport shift. The problem is I was on my way to NY from DC and the place is a good 3 hour drive away.

I wanted to take it autozone and see what the code is but I was reading that it just could be the 3rd/4th gear sensors is that correct? And has any one run into something like this before. I just spent 4k and if I can fix myself that would be great!!!

Autozone probably won't be able to read it, they can get PCM codes, trans codes are usually a different module that a basic code scanner won't be able to read.

First thing to check is make sure the plug is on the sensors all the way, they might have put it on screwy and it backed off while driving. If it's anything more than that, I'd have them fix it. For what you paid for that trans, it better damn well be perfect.

 

take it right back to them and let them fix it.

 

Jasper is one of the absolute worst places to get an engine or transmission. They used to be average but not anymore. Any place that does mass rebuilding probably won't be very good. Take it back immediately.

 

that's signaling a problem with the transmission that could be from a bad sensor or the ECU getting a signal of a loss of pressure/fluid or something of the sort! Take it to the nearest dealer and have them pull the code for the trans!
