Tranny takes long to go in reverse
I just bought a 06 TL and notices that When I change from drive to reverse there is a delay before it catches gear. if I am on a hill and I put the car in reverse it will keep rolling forward for a few seconds then stop any idea what may cause this?

If it's only a slight delay when compared to other cars, you'll find that the electronics, at least in the Acura, take a short period to engage, it's not instantaneous.

Its normal within reason. The filter is serviceable in your '06. Its bad practice to let it roll forward while it'd engaging reverse. Stay on the brakes until it engages.

My 04 TL did the same thing, and I have had it since new. Maybe two weeks after I had to repair the tranny. The 3rd gear drum (which I understand Hondas suffer of) went south! I respect and trust what I Hate Cars say's, knowledgable guy! I hope it's what he say's!!
