Torn ball joint boot

Was attempting to replace my front lower control arms and tore the ball joint boot.

I see people have been able to replace the boot, which seems much easier than replace the entire ball joint, but where do I buy the boot? I have found the upper boot? Is that the same? Possibly one of those polyurethane energy suspension boots? I just want to make sure I get the right part since getting to it will be a bitch.

if the joint moves by your hand, the boot is worthless. Replace the whole assembly.

I just tore the boot, so it should be fine, I just cant figure out if there is an aftermarket boot or what. it is $400 to replace the ball joint and $50 to replace the boot. So I am thinking maybe I will just buy an OEM ball joint and take the boot off of it.
