Timing belt replacement in Colorado
Was wondering what’s a good price for a timing belt replacement job in 2024 in Colorado I have 2007 Acura TL with 131000 miles timing belt never been replaced I’ve had TL for 6 yrs and I’ve put 20000 miles should I get it replaced or wait til 150000 miles

I havent heard of a lot of catastrophic failures but they do exist. If you plan on keeping the car you should get it done now.
. I just hit 107k in my 2007 and never had it changed. Am probably going to sell though but will make it known it should be changed.

So assuming you drive at the same rate, you’ll take another 6 years to get to 150,000 miles. Your car will be 23 years old at the time. The belts are supposed to be changed at 7 years I believe. So you’re seriously asking if you should go 16 years past the recommended replacement interval?
